Orpington

New Build

Working with a new external wall construction system, this 7 bedroom new build project in Orpington provided us with the opportunity to branch out and use a new construction method of Integrated Concrete Formwork with the product Nudura. We have subsequently used this system for 4 other projects of similar ilk and having worked with it now have a good understanding on how the product works and it is proving to be a great adversary for speeding up the construction project. The works to this new build comprised of a split level to the ground floor and feature polished concrete floor throughout the lower ground floor. Littered with features throughout the property, it is difficult to differentiate with the most effective namely the double storey space to the lower ground floor, the vertical steelwork and floating treads to the staircase clad with the same timber flooring throughout the upper ground, first and second floors. The second floor sun room provides glazed facades to the front and rear providing an amazing relaxing space and the second floor split level gym is also an added feature. The property is brick clad to the front façade up to the underside of first floor and rendered using 2 colours and textures of render for contrast and depth. With a sustainable angle in mind, the property was able to take advantage of the exterior walling system by using under floor heating throughout the ground floor only and a heat loss recovery throughout the remaining property to balance the heating to provide a comfortable environment all year round. Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal are also employed on the tabletop flat roof so they are not visible from the ground but a welcomed addition to the running costs.
